Romantisme & désillusion

Une envolée de romantisme a tourbillonné samedi dernier tout au long de la journée.

Une très belle entrée en matière par la majestueuse Symphonie Fantastique de Berlioz brillamment interprété par Myung Whun Chung .

La maison de la radio fêtait sa réouverture avec un auditorium flambant neuf .
De quoi être en forme pour le restant de la journée, des frissons garanties.
Pour la petite histoire, Berlioz assista a Paris en 1827, à une représentation de Hamlet de Shakespeare. Désespérément épris d'Harriet (l'actrice irlandaise jouait le rôle d'Orphélie), il erra toute la nuit en proie à la frustration et au désir et, hanté , ne mettra que 2 mois a composer la symphonie en 1830.

Puis, escapade a St Germain .... Musée Delacroix....
Sa maison et son atelier.

L'exposition en elle même est décevante, les plus beaux tableaux n'étant pas présents. Quelques belles aquarelles (issues de carnets de voyage) pourtant et pour ma part, j'ai noté surtout ce tableau de femmes dans un harem avec cette belle ambiance de clair obscur, tout en étant très colorés.
( Pour info, ce tableau de nu n'est malheureusement pas dans l'expo...)

Il disait aimer les tons purs et francs, et s'affirmait volontiers l'ennemi du gris.

"Bannir toutes couleurs terreuses", écrit-il. Les peintres qui ne sont pas coloristes" font de l'enluminure".

Delacroix est en plein dans le mouvement romantique, comme Berlioz.
Une recherche de l'absolu, le tout teinté de mélancolie et de révolte, en prise avec le monde moderne.

For the record, Berlioz attended in Paris in 1827 to Shakespeare's Hamlet representation. Desperately in love with Harriet (the Irish actress played the role of Orphelie), he wandered all night plagued by frustration and desire and, haunted, will only take two months to compose the symphony in 1830.

The exhibition itself is disappointing, the most beautiful paintings are not present. Some beautiful watercolors (from travelogues) yet and for my part, I noted above this picture of women in a harem with this beautiful atmosphere of chiaroscuro, while being very colorful.
(FYI, this picture of naked unfortunately is not in the show ...)
He said he loved the pure, bold colors, and readily affirmed the enemy of gray.
"Ban all earthy colors," he wrote. The painters who are not colorists "are of illumination."
Delacroix is right in the Romantic movement, like Berlioz.
A search of the absolute, all tinged with melancholy and revolt in engagement with the modern world.

Le petit prince aussi cherche l'absolu ...

Oui j'ai continué ma balade cette même journée au musée des lettres et des manuscrits.
Un musée très discret qui pourtant recèle de trésors écrits .... lettres historiques, scientifiques et d'amours.
Une nouvelle onde de romantisme planait sur l'expo.

Des lettres de passions amoureuses,  d'espoirs et de désillusions.
Des états d'âmes qui ne laissent pas indifférents et qui m'ont un peu bousculé en ce samedi de fin de journée.
En voici deux extraits:

1/ Le Petit Prince .....
Eveiller chez l'homme ce qu'il y a de bien en lui , partager son bonheur.
Etre responsable de ce que l'on aime, se délivrer de la peur des autres et des contraintes matérielles.

Avril 1943 : Le Petit Prince sort en librairie à New York.
Peu de temps après, il tombe sous le charme d'une jeune femme officier, mariée et vivant à Oran.
Antoine de St Exupery lui envoie pendant 1 an, des lettres aquarellées  ( ci-jointes ) où le petit prince devient son intermédiaire et formule ses souhaits." Pardon, j'écris a une amie qui m'a tout à fait oublié ... "
Profondément attristé du silence de la jeune femme, il lui adresse aussi des reproches. Ses lettres restent sans réponse.

Yes I continued my walk that day at the museum letters and manuscripts.
A Self museum yet conceals treasures written letters .... historical, scientific and loves.
A new wave of romanticism hanging over the expo.
Letters amorous passions, hopes and disappointments.
States of mind that do not leave indifferent and which made me a little rushed in Saturday's late afternoon.
Here are two excerpts:
1 / The Little Prince .....
Awaken in man that there was good in him, to share his happiness.
Being responsible for what we love, get rid of the fear of others and material constraints.
April 1943: The Little Prince released in bookstores in New York.
Soon after, he falls in love with a young female officer, married and living in Oran.
Antoine de St Exupery sends for 1 year, watercolor of letters (attached), where the little prince becomes its intermediary and makes his wishes. "Sorry, I write has a friend who told me quite forgotten ... "
Deeply saddened by the silence of the young woman, it also addresses rebuke him. His letters remain unanswered.

2/  une lettre émouvante de Jean Seberg adressée à Romain Gary. Elle n'est déjà plus avec Romain Gary . Ils garderont un attachement très fort l'un et l'autre. Une lettre très intime sur ce grand amour et cette histoire qui ne sera plus et qui la hante.

2 / a moving letter addressed to Jean Seberg was Romain Gary. She is no longer with Romain Gary. They will keep a very strong attachment to one another. A very intimate letter and this great love story which will be no more, and that haunts her.
